About Mallala Motorsport Park
Mallala Motorsport Park started life as a RAAF air base and has a rich history that is almost as enthralling as the track itself. The circuit was built from the connecting roads that made up the air base in a mad six-month rush to host the first Australian Grand Prix in 1962.
Since then, Mallala has played host to some of the biggest events and names in motor car racing. Everyone from Dick Johnson, Colin Bond, Mark Skaife, Glenn Seton and Craig Lowndes have been victors here in their V8 race cars.
